As well as this, Scotland’s oldest club hadn’t beaten the Light Blues in any competition since 1948.
But that changed thanks to super-sub Seb Drozd’s winner and goalkeeper Calum Ferrie’s heroic last-minute save from James Tavernier’s penalty kick.
Club directors have thrown open the doors of the supporters club at Lesser Hampden and even paid for all drinks in the bar for fans.
Among them was Keith McAllister, 67, who hasn’t missed a game home or away in almost 50 years.
The retiree, who has followed the club for 60 years said: “I never thought I would see the day that Queen’s Park beat Rangers.
“This is easily my best game watching the club.
“When they got the late penalty I was thinking this is typical, they will score and go on and win the game.
“My heart was going 100MPH at this point and then the keeper saved the penalty. What a season he has had.
“I have not missed a game home or away since 1979 and I might chuck it now because it can only go downhill.”
Alan Raeburn, 58, a civil servant from Glasgow who has followed the club since 1981, was also there to enjoy the party atmosphere.
He said : “Apart from my kids being born this is the best day of my life.
“I never thought we would do it.
“Never once did I think we would be able to beat Rangers at Ibrox – and we have.
“It is unbelievable. It has still not sunk in.”

Nicola Davenport, 37, Palmer Clark, 37, Lilly-Mae Ramsay, 9, and Sean Davenport, 40 were all back at the club’s social club to celebrate the historic win.
Sean said: “We had no expectations of today. We went along to enjoy the game but we were all absolutely delighted and didn’t expect anything like this.”
And Peter Zorgenlos, 52, who has followed the team for 48 years added: “Super proud of the fans at this wee lovely familyfootball club.
“What a result.”

Ian Robertson, who has supported the team for 35 years said: “I am speechless but thoroughly delighted with the win.”
The minnow’s heroics means they will advance to the quarter-finals for the first time since 1982.
Rangers, meanwhile, had only lost twice to lower-league opposition in the Scottish Cup in their 152-year history– before yesterday.
And the shock result came almost 25 years to the day since another famous underdog win on the other side of the city– when Inverness Caledonian Thistle ran out 3-1 winners against Celtic.
The win spawned the famous Scottish Sun headline – Super Caley Go Ballistic Celtic Are Atrocious.
